About the Author

A decedent of Andrew Potter and related to others that played part in the 1875 James-Younger gang robbery of the Bank of Huntington. The author brings a unique historical perspective to that legendary event. That of a participant. Steeped in family lore and accounts concerning the Civil War and the actions of his ancestors in stupendous events unknown to the history books.

When the author was a boy, he was entertained by James Potter, son of Andrew, his Great-Grandfather, who knew Jesse and others of the James-Younger gang in his youth. Being a curious lad, the author asked many questions and received exact and detailed answers.
